All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) offer some scholarship schemes by AICTE for higher education
Under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Indian government plans to improve higher education outcomes by providing scholarships and other financial support to students. Several of these programs were continued in 2022 by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
These scholarships will continue to apply in 2023. FE Education addresses some of the main government education programs operated by AICTE: PG Scholarship Scheme
The PG Scholarship program is open to students who have passed the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) or the Graduate Aptitude Test in Pharmacy (GPAT). Under the scheme, the beneficiaries will receive a stipend of Rs 12,400 per month to encourage them. to carry out postgraduate studies in professional subjects such as engineering, technology, administration, pharmacy, etc. at selected institutes, colleges and universities.
National Doctoral Scholarship (NDF) This scholarship is intended for students who wish to pursue doctoral studies in AICTE-recognized universities, with the aim of promoting the research culture in AICTE-recognized institutions.
The program awards a maximum of two grants per QIP (Quality Improvement Program) center. Also, the candidates will receive a subsidy of Rs 28,000 per month under the scholarship excluding the housing rent subsidy.
Pragati Scholarship Scheme
This scholarship scheme is aimed at deserving girls with the aim of encouraging them to pursue technical education. To be eligible for this program, a candidate must be admitted to the first year of undergraduate/degree programs at one of the AICTE accredited institutes.
Under the scheme, candidates will receive financial support of Rs 30,000 or actual value, whichever is lower, and Rs 2,000 per month for 10 months as incidental expenses per year.

Saksham Scholarship Program
The Saksham Scholarship Program is aimed at children with special abilities to encourage them to pursue a technical education. Candidates admitted to the first or second year of a graduate-level program at one of the AICTE-recognized institutions are eligible to apply to the plan. In addition, the applicant’s disability must not exceed 40% and his household income must not exceed eight lakh per year.
The program provides reimbursement of Rs 30,000 for tuition and Rs 20,000 for incidentals per year.
The Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS)
The Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme is intended for students from Jammu and Kashmir to pursue university studies outside the Union Territory (UT). Under the scheme, a living fee of one lakh and a tuition fee of 30,000 rupees general are charged Degrees, 1.25,000 annually for an engineering degree and 3,000 for a medical degree.
Prerana and Samriddhi Programs for SC/SC Students These programs are designed for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students to advance them to pursue higher education in the field of technology and start their own business . A financial grant of Rs 10 lakhs (one off) is provided under the Prerana program while Samriddhi provides a total of Rs 20 lakhs.
