For several B.Tech graduates planning to pursue higher education , it is primarily a choice between Master of business administration (MBA) and Master of technology (M.Tech) programs.

When I spoke with several experienced people they said me that it all depends on the personality type you have. For example if you have a more technical knowledge regarding your engineering field, if you go in depth of every concept you learn and and are interested in your field than you can choose M.Tech over MBA. But if you have a generalist type of personality that is interested in managing the events, leading a team, decision making, marketing, then MBA can be a better carrier choice for you.

While both career options are stable and rewarding, current trends indicate that students prefer MBA over M.Tech. For several B.Tech graduates planning to pursue higher education , it is primarily a choice between Master of business administration (MBA) and Master of technology (MTech) programmes. While both qualifications offer good placements and a stable career, the decision should be a well-calculated one. While an MBA prepares you for generalist roles and opens your avenues in non-technical industries, an M.Tech qualification offers you plush jobs and a freedom to take your love for technology to the next level. Says Harpreet Singh, president, JRE group of institutions, “End-goals play an important role when students decide on their postgraduate qualification . An MTech degree offers opportunities in the academia, research & development and technical fields. On the other hand, an MBA opens up avenues in banking, finance, consultancy and other roles, which may not be technically driven.”

As a writer of this article I can only show you the way. It all depends on you personality type and your interest as mentioned in 2nd paragraph. Identify you personality type as well as your interests, Choice is yours! All the Best!

Thanks & Regards
